I am a bootstrapper. I have initiative and insight and guts, but not much money. I will succeed because my efforts and my focus will defeat bigger and better-funded competitors. I am fearless. I keep my focus on growing the business—not on politics, career advancement, or other wasteful distractions.
I will leverage my skills to become the key to every department of my company, yet realize that hiring experts can be the secret to my success. I will be a fervent and intelligent user of technology, to conserve my two most precious assets: time and money.
My secret weapon is knowing how to cut through bureaucracy. My size makes me faster and more nimble than any company could ever be.
I am a laser beam. Opportunities will try to cloud my focus, but I will not waver from my stated goal and plan—until I change it. And I know that plans were made to be changed.
I’m in it for the long haul. Building a business that will last separates me from the opportunist, and is an investment in my brand and my future. Surviving is succeeding, and each day that goes by makes it easier still for me to reach my goals.

I pledge to know more about my field than anyone else. I will read and learn and teach. My greatest asset is the value I can add to my clients through my efforts.
I realize that treating people well on the way up will make it nicer for me on the way back down. I will be scrupulously honest and overt in my dealings, and won’t use my position as a fearless bootstrapper to gain unfair advantage. My reputation will follow me wherever I go, and I will invest in it daily and protect it fiercely.
I am the underdog. I realize that others are rooting for me to succeed, and I will gratefully accept their help when offered. I also understand the power of favors, and will offer them and grant them whenever I can.
I have less to lose than most — a fact I can turn into a significant competitive advantage.
I am a salesperson. Sooner or later, my income will depend on sales, and those sales can be made only by me, not by an emissary, not by a rep. I will sell by helping others get what they want, by identifying needs and filling them.
I am a guerrilla. I will be persistent, consistent, and willing to invest in the marketing of myself and my business.
I will measure what I do, and won’t lie about it to myself or my spouse. I will set strict financial goals and honestly evaluate my performance. I’ll set limits on time and money and won’t exceed either.
Most of all, I’ll remember that the journey is the reward. I will learn and grow and enjoy every single day.

Start with the self

Austria - 2013

Austria – 2013

I’ve been reading a lot about self-development and improving self-esteem.. Apparently change should start from within.
So, i decided to let my hair grow 😀 true! that small change doesn’t have an impact on others, I know, but for me it was something! I was freed from the routine. Regardless if it looked nice or not. It helped me!

Is it easy to wake up one day and admit to yourself; “well, i shouldn’t be doing this and that and….” But you know, blaming yours
elf will not change these in a day. Without the willingness to change, nothing will!
I had to observe what was wrong, what it was that hurt me, what it was that I had to take action in. Have we ever stopped and start thinking of what we’re doing, daily? is it just the routine or our traditions that keep us moving in this circle? have we ever stopped realizing that we shouldn’t lie, being hypocrites or even why are we going daily to our jobs? Honestly, i never thought about any of those rituals. Sadly, yes, rituals for most of us.

You should read this book, it helped me a lot: The Alchemist, for Paulo Coelho (was recommended by my sweet girl ☺ )

We all have the desire to change, but it’s sinking deep inside, that we can’t even find it, yet we believe in it. So, i decided to start with the small details. I went back to writing, once in a while. This helped me understand myself, requesting my daily activities to change them, see what I’ve done good, and what I’ve done bad.
But what kind of change was i looking at? external change.. internal… maybe changing my style or my cellphone 😀

We never know what we need to change unless we are motivated for something, unless we add a meaning to our life, otherwise, everything will remain the same and the cycle to strat again.

I learned that from a very close friend of mine. She gave meaning to the smallest moments in life, she had something she couldn’t live without, it made her stop when others just went with the flow, change routes when she felt she was going the wrong path, it all summed up with the willingness to make a good change. This is where it all started.

Bit by bit I was relieved from lots of things, like guilt, fear, sadness..

I feel like i have a lot to share , but I will have to leave it for the next time the real changes and how to spot the bad habits hidden in our daily routine.

See you soon!

We are not trees.

What to change: myself or the world around me?

Something was wrong. After a few months I traveled back home, it was then that I had the shock. It didn’t feel like that was the home I want to be in. I didn’t want to live this life.

Why had I changed that much? Is this what I want to be? Was it for the best?

I had adopted a new life style, I changed all my habits. I stopped smoking which in my world that mean that I lost my manhood. I actually run, which I never thought it was possible. Really I run… It’s a miracle. And I am with someone that the community around me would advise me to leave at every single conversation.

So I  took some decisions. Good or bad! I guess I will have to wait and see.

to be continued…

Well, it all started when…

It all started in 2013, i left Egypt my hometown to work in Qatar.

landing in Qatar.

landing in Qatar.

It was all new, the people I meet, the life style, traveling …Qatar is dull no doubt about it, but it did open new experiences that changes me.

It was an intriguing experience. living in a strange country, building new friendships with people from other cultures, rethinking my life style. Values I never questioned before where no longer rigid. Sometimes I had to follow my instincts, I did a lot of mistakes but I think all in all I did good too. And the best part is that I’ve met my girl.

I admit I’ve never imagined this, my mind is open to the world, especially when I initially travelled to different places and met interesting people. I am so excited to see what more life has to offer!

P.S.: thanks for the person who helped to make this come alive, and also for being a reason for the change, Dayana.

See you soon!

Actually, I don’t know what I’m going to talk about, but judt felt that I need to. So, forgive my writings this time, not going to be- or acting to be professional anyway at least for this time.

It’s one of those days when you just wake up out of the mood, trying to get ride of those feelings at work, but nothing could! with a crashed laptop at morning, adding some cut of the electricity during the whole day.. with some personal problems (not going through them over here) sum the previous circumstances and you will get a not fine Thursday. Maybe it was a push to start blogging, maybe I won’t forget that day makes me start blogging (5/7/2012) I don’t know.

However, this is just jumped into my head, do we need a push (whatever it’s) to start doing a new think or maybe a different activity like no other day? why don’t we just get to try whatever it shows up tp us! don’t we have enough curiosity to get into different issues? or we just get used to our daily routine? (another) I don’t know. Since I’m having a connection (a good connection I mean) I won’t stop exploring, searching, browsing, finding, connecting, networking.. and whatever it takes on the internet. I think I’m having a lot of curiosity deep inside, over all subjects, through details as well. And what I’m sure about is; this is something fine and helpful, indeed!

What I’m trying to define is “curiosity” it’s what brings us here, what brings you read this till now,, what makes us discovering new things every single day, at work, at home. out with friends / colleagues / family.. Something we can’t control, we can’t stop. Honestly, it’s what drove me through all I’ve been doing during my career, since I’ve taken my first breath as a kid, as I was always trying to discover even my little toys but ended with destroying not only discovering 😛 and since I started my career it’s what made it interesting to go through various of tasks and so it gains me a lot of experience, not only in work procedures. But, in how to communicate with other people, how to take it easy when getting in touch with many different personalities and how to adjust my self-control regarding various of situations. However, this is the most important side of everyone’s experience, on how many situation you faced, how many different personalities you dealt with, and how you did act over all. It’s not only how to get your work done and you call it experience.. It’s more deep than that.

Moreover, I’ve been making and buidling connections with the most awesome people who I respect from my deep inside, I’ve learnt from people I’m connecting with all over my life. Honestly, this is the most advantage we need to grab from the internet, how to get in touch with the right people, how to make perfect connections, how to communicate is like how to navigate your own ship like a captain. You discover the way, getting ready and sail. This exactly summarize it all.

Finally, I couldn’t find better than that word to end my first blog with (the last paragraph) so, will see you again. 🙂
